Hosted by the branch of physical education of the China Sport Science Society, the branch of physical education and sanitation of the Chinese Society of Education and Magazine "Sport", organized by the physical education college of China Three Gorges University and the Three Gorges workstation of "Sport" Magazine, the 1st Three Gorges Sports Forum and the 2nd Annual Meeting of Sport Magazine was held in China Three Gorges University, Yichang, Hubei Province, Nov 11-13, 2011.
The aim of the forum is to summarize, exchange and deepen the experience of the teaching reform of physical education, to enhance the physical education level, and to promote the construction and development of the teaching faculty.
Officials from the Ministry of Education, China Sport Science Society, General Administration of Sport, Education Depratment of Hubei Province, Magazine "Sport" and other units, experts from 10 universities in China and about 120 teachers on physical education attended the meeting.
The forum received over 1000 theses and enrolled about 500, in which 248 theses were rewarded, with 31 won the 1st prize. 8 prize-winners join in the thesis exchange activities. The experts introduced the current status of Chinas physical education and the developing trend of physical education in foreign countries. They also share the participants s with the newest educational theory in the world. The participants put forward some valuable advances for Chinas current physical education.
In the 2nd Annual Meeting of Magazine "Sport", the chief editor Liang Lin made the working report, and the head of the 15 workstation summarized their work in 2011 respectively. The forum and the annual meeting was ended in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
